Brandon Jenning's agent Bill Duffy Speaks Against Ricky Rubio

Bill Duffy, Brandon Jenning's agent and several NBA players, has spoken about the situation of Ricky Rubio and his words were not exactly flattering to the Spanish point guard.

Duffy, who handled everything related to Jennings in the past 'Draft', explains that according to his preferences, Ricky was not the best player eligible and even had several point guards that should have been chosen over the Spaniard. "I think Ricky is good, but he has much marketing. In my lists, Jennings and other point guards were above him," says Duffy, as defined in 'StarTribune.com' of Minnesota.

The contractual status of the Catalan (Ricky) concerns Duffy, who questioned the choice of the Timberwolves. "It's a challenge to Kahn (GM of the Wolves). He's in a small team that needs money, so it's likely that he end up transferring to Real Madrid or Barcelona," continues Duffy.

Bill Duffy, agent of Nash, Tayshaun Prince and Andris Biedrins, among others, believes the international player would be transfer to another team in the ACB. "They need money and those clubs will pay. When Ricky goes to the NBA, they will recover part of that investment, because they'll also have to pay." In conclusion, Duffy returns to give his opinion on Ricky. "He is young, but there are some who are already comparing him to Nash or Stockton. That's not what I see."

Jennings, client of Duffy, during the Draft also spoke in very similar terms about Ricky Rubio.

UPDATE:
Agent Bill Duffy emailed the Star Tribune to clarify comments he made in Sid Hartman’s Sunday column. Here’s what he said:

“I want to elaborate a little more extensively on comments related to me in a recent Sunday article in the Star Tribune. I meant no disparagement toward Ricky Rubio. He is inarguably an immensely talented young man with a very bright future. I do know that both his agent and the Timberwolves organization are working feverishly for a solution. Having been in similar situations before, I wish them nothing but success in their pursuits.

“Additionally, I have no real insight into the coaching selection process being conducted by the Timberwolves organization. I feel badly if any of my commentary takes away from work being conducted by all of the parties and if I have offended anyone involved.”
