Against Serbia it was not our day, next time we will give it our all 9/8/09

Hello everyone. Today I write after the first game of the European Championships. I will try to write after each match, but yesterday I was not strong enough nor inclined to write. It was a hard night, all of us were quiet and sad knowing of what had happened at the game should not happen again.

We lost to Serbia. It must be said that Serbia, although it bears a very young team it has an incredible talent. Yesterday was not our day, nothing went in for us and we rushed into each action. This game shows that we are not so favorites as people think, but despite the defeat, we can still achieve our goal.

If it gets worse, when the game ended, a Polish volunteer came up to me to sign a paper, up until then it was all good cause I thought It was a fan who wanted an autograph, and although I was in a bad mood (I hate to lose), I took the paper to sign it and saw that it was an "ANTI-DOPING CONTROL"… he was not a fan, It was my turn to do the anti-doping control. I know it’s nothing, it’s just pee in a cup, but I HAVE ALREADY GONE TO THE BATHROOM DURING HALF TIME, and I had nothing left in store, in conclusion I had to drink water for 30 min, I tried and nothing only 25 ml, and the minimum is 75ml… Lucky I had VĂctor Claver, he too was his turn, and who also couldn’t go and he made me company. After 30 min more and with a 1,5 L bottle and a Sprite of 500 mL in my belly I was able to make it to the 75 mL mark, in fact I think it was 74 ml, but if they ask me to make 1 mL more I’ll spend an hour more there. In consequence of everything that I had drunken, that after arriving at the hotel I went to the bathroom 4 times and they were not short rivers I made uh…

Personally, I’m looking forward to tonight to show everyone, and myself, that we can be ourselves again.

I hope tomorrow, when I write, I can against all with much more happiness and with a victory.

A hug!
