The president warned the player to "decide where he wants to go"

Jordi Villacampa, president of DKV Joventut, in a telephone conversation with MARCA.com ironically spoke on the future of Ricky Rubio. "He must decide where to go. If he wants to stay in 'La Penya', we would be delighted. Look what has happened with David Villa...".

Villacampa confirmed to MARCA today: That yesterday he had a video-conference with the representatives of the NBA. "But most of all having them telling me, I told them. First Ricky must decide where he wants to go, and then we'll work on the options between the clubs. The NBA offers us things like a couple of matches from teams there in Badalona. But, why would they work in the 'business' if we do not know where the kid wants to go? It would be foolish to agree with anyone if the player does not want to go there," said the president.

Also, Villacampa made it clear that DKV Joventut does not rule out that the player can stay. "If he wants to stay, then he can stay. He is an excellent player for our staff. Look at the case of David Villa: it was said for a fact that he was going to Madrid, then to Barcelona.... and in the end he stayed with his current club," he said.
